So I went out to my garage this morning to take my C7 Corvette for a spin and the battery was completely dead. I knew it was coming to be honest because the car has been sitting for about three weeks while I was traveling and the battery was already four years old. I jumped it and took it for a drive to get some charge back, but I know this battery is finished and I need to get it replaced properly. The thing that’s worrying me is that I’ve heard the battery in the C7 is located in the rear compartment behind the passenger seat and it’s actually a bit tricky to access. I’ve seen some videos online where people have to remove trim panels and be really careful not to damage anything. I’m really particular about my car and I don’t want some ham-fisted mechanic scratching up the interior or not putting the trim back properly. I’ve heard stories of people having issues with battery installations on these cars because of the location and the sensitive electronics. I live in Abu Dhabi and I’m hoping to find a Quick Chevrolet Corvette battery shop in Abu Dhabi that has experience with these cars and knows where the battery is and how to access it without damaging anything. I also need the right battery, the AGM type with the proper specs for the C7. Has anyone here had their Corvette battery replaced at a shop in Abu Dhabi that they’d recommend? I don’t mind paying a bit extra for someone who knows what they’re doing and will take care of my car. I’d rather not drive all the way to Dubai if I can find someone good here.
